I am happy to invite you to the third event of our DLCL Focal Group on Persian, Arabic, Turkish, and Hebrew: the visit of Elias Muhanna from Brown University. 1:00-2:30pm, Tuesday 31 January in 260-252 with the title “Comparative Literature and Islamicate Languages.â€
 
He is the Manning Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature at Brown: . He is also a contributing writer for newyorker.com (), runs the Digital Islamic Humanities Project (), has a translation just out with Penguin () and a monograph forthcoming from Princeton University Press in late 2017.
