Divya Mehrish (she/her) is a senior from New York City. She double majors in Comparative Literature and Science, Technology, and Society, with a focus in medical anthropology, and minors in Creative Writing. The Associate Director of Content at The Adroit Journal, Divya is a widely published writer of poetry, fiction, journalism, essays, and memoir pieces. Divya has experience working at the intersections of healthcare and technology, finance, consulting, education, and in the literary and advocacy spheres. She is passionate about artistic pursuits, philosophy, learning languages, following the financial markets, medical research, theater, and the outdoors.

Sera Wang (she/they) is from Chengdu, China, studying Comparative Literature with a specific interest in East Asian Literature. They are currently writing an Honors Thesis about the Modern Girl image in Chinese and Japanese film. Outside of studies, they are part of the °®åú´«Ã½ Sado Tea Club and the °®åú´«Ã½ Storyboard Club. Rebecca Pizzitola (she/her) is a senior studying Symbolic Systems and Linguistics and minoring in Italian. She is particularly interested in language learning and acquisition, endangered languages, and the intersections of language and technology. She adores the °®åú´«Ã½ Italian department and hopes to encourage other students to enroll in language and literature courses and/or pursue a major or minor in the department. Outside of being a DLCL advisor, Rebecca was a frosh RA for 2 years in Lantana, studied abroad in Florence, Italy through BOSP, is an avid reader, and is training for Bay to Breakers 2025. She also has an adorable cat, Bentley, who lives in her dorm, and will happily show you photos.

Zelig is a senior from Los Angeles double majoring in German Studies and History. His interest in Germany's memory of the Second World War led him to Berlin, where he spent last summer collecting materials for his senior thesis about the Germans expelled from Eastern Europe at the war's end. Zelig has also worked at °®åú´«Ã½'s Digital Humanities lab CESTA, interned at TU Berlin's Center for Research on Antisemitism, and is a longtime member of °®åú´«Ã½ Habla. In his free time, he has a passion for old movies, going on hikes, and the Lakers. Feiyang Kuang is a senior from Shanghai majoring in German Studies and English. Her interest in German Studies lies in continental philosophy and literature, but they originated in Austrian musicals. She is currently writing a thesis on the German novel Austerlitz by W.G. Sebald. Ronak Shetty is a junior with a background in Iberian and Latin American studies, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian language and culture, South Asian studies, education, technology, business strategy, marketing, politics, psychology, and public service. Ronak's experiences with his own non-profit (Aprendalo.org) combined with his publications and podcasts reflect his deep interest in world cultures, education, language, politics, and optimism for structural change. Furthermore, Ronak’s work experience at UC Berkeley Haas demonstrates his love and passion for teaching students to question the status quo and to innovate and create new solutions. At °®åú´«Ã½, Ronak continues to work with Aprendalo ESL and teaches Spanish and entrepreneurship at Curious Cardinals. Beyond this, Ronak engages in activities with Habla ESL, the Queer Resource Center, and the CA World Language Project. This earned him the Cardinal Service notation for integrating academic learning with public service. He was also selected to be a part of the Business Association of °®åú´«Ã½ Entrepreneurial Students. His research focuses on Education, Iberian and Latin American cultures, and South Asian history with the Iberian Peninsula.

Yared Avalos Iñiguez is a senior majoring in Iberian and Latin American Cultures (ILAC) and Public Policy. As the ILAC Peer Advisor, Yared is excited to support students explore the department and answer any questions. He has participated in the BOSP Santiago program, and he is an ILAC honors student and Hume Center Fellow, currently writing a thesis on the cultural and social impact of Coca-Cola in Mexico. With a deep appreciation for literature, history, and cultural analysis, Yared is excited to help students navigate the ILAC department, whether they’re looking for course recommendations, research opportunities, or advice on pursuing their academic goals.
