Dear Colleagues,
Please join us for the three-day colloquium "Heinrich von Kleist's Gestures", which will be held at the ý Humanties Center from March 15 - 17 (this week!). We have an international lineup of speakers from different disciplines and hope for your attendance to discuss the new rise of Heinrich von Kleist reception in academia and beyond: What are, and how can we describe the intensity of Kleist's textual gestures? In which way do they relate to the western present-day culture? We invite you to six keynote lectures, starting with David Wellbery's (Chicago) talk on Thursday, 10 a.m., as well as to the panel conversations which are meant to provide a forum for specific textual reference and continuing discussion.
If you wish to receive a PDF covering the Kleist passages that the presentations will focus upon (in German as well as in English translation), please contact Sarah Pines (thaliapines [at] gmail.com (thaliapines[at]gmail[dot]com)).
Apart from Prof. Wilhelm Voßkamp's keynote lecture, contributions will be held in English. Please visitfor the program.
We hope to see you there,
