Marxisms Reading Group: Michael Heinrich
Please join our first meeting of the 2024-25 academic year! Anyone with an interest inÌýMarxismsÌýis welcome (and encouraged!) to join.
Marxisms, a bi-weekly DLCL reading group, is dedicated to reading and discussing Marxist thought and Marxist approaches to aesthetics from a variety of times and places. Our focus is on how Marxist thought has both influenced and been critiqued by writers from the times and places which our members study.
Before turning to otherÌýMarxismsÌýthroughout the year, we’ll start our first meeting with a 30-page selection from Michael Heinrich’s helpfulÌýAn Introduction to the Three Volumes of Karl Marx’sÌýCapital (transl. Alexander Locascio, 2012). We’ll discuss Chapter 2 (pp. 29-38) and part of Chapter 3 (pp. 39-61). For a link to download the entire book, contact the coordinators of the group listed below.
