Osip Mandelstam in His Cotemporaries' Memory
In his lecture, Dr. Oleg Lekmanov will discuss the image of the poet Osip Mandelstam as it is formed in the memories of his contemporaries and the main types of conscious and unconscious errors made by memoirists, distorting the true image of the poet. He will also examine how the perception of Mandelstam's personality by his contemporaries influenced his poetry and prose.
