Two DLCL Students Selected as Hume Humanities Honors Fellows
Two DLCL undergraduates, Isabelle Carpenter (Comparative Literature and International Relations) and Clara Romani (French and History), have been named Hume Humanities Honors Fellows at the °®åú´«Ã½ Humanities Center for the 2019-20 academic year.
Every year, eight Hume fellows are selected by a °®åú´«Ã½ Humanities Center committee after being nominated by their faculty advisors. Each fellow receives a stipend for research funding and an individual desk in the Humanities Center office; most importantly, fellows participate in specially tailored group activities both with their undergraduate cohort and with the graduate students, postdocs, and faculty in residence at the Humanities Center. Hume fellows benefit from these rich and inspiring intellectual interactions as they complete a focused, research-intensive honors thesis.
Isabelle and Clara's selection for this competitive fellowship indicates the extremely high caliber of their scholarship. Please join us in congratulating them both!
