Profile
Thiago Santana is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature at °®åú´«Ã½. His research focuses on Early Modern Iberian and Latin American literature, literary theory, and history of criticism. He is particularly interested in how Renaissance and Baroque literary cultures shaped early modern intellectual traditions and their reception in later critical discourses. His work also engages with questions of poetics, historiography, and translation in the early modern world.
Before coming to °®åú´«Ã½, Thiago completed master's degrees at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the University of Minnesota, where he studied the intersections of classical reception, literary criticism, and colonial discourse.
