°®åú´«Ã½ Club of Germany
The Department of German Studies enjoys the very active support of the °®åú´«Ã½ Club of Germany. This organization has been in existence since 1980 when it was founded to strengthen the Overseas Program in Berlin. Under a series of energetic presidents it has worked to provide a permanent residence for the Berlin campus (Haus Cramer, the former Villa Muthesius in Berlin-Dahlem) and, under the auspices of the Krupp Internship Program, to enable more than 750 three-month internships for °®åú´«Ã½ undergraduates. More recently in 2008 the Club undertook to fund a visiting scholar from Germany in the Department of German Studies for one quarter each year. In addition, it has funded an annual award for the best essay on a German topic directed by a member of the Department of German Studies, the °®åú´«Ã½ Club of Germany Prize.
